Straight and Curly 71: Perfectionism

I never thought I was a perfectionist until I did the research for my second book Practical Perfection. Carly used to think she was … but has now decided she’s actually just a really high-functioning human!

So, what even is perfectionism? Well, if you hold yourself to high standards and get frustrated when you’re not able to achieve those standards, then it’s likely you have perfectionist tendencies. There’s a difference between healthy perfectionism and neurotic perfectionism, however.

In this episode Carly and I distinguish between the two as well as sharing our own experiences with both.
